Проблеми та перспективи штучного відтворення та збереження запасів європейського вугра (Anguilla anguilla (Linnaeus, 1758)) (огляд)

Мета. Вирощування вугра — перспективний напрям аквакультури, розвиток якого в Україні та світі стримується низкою чинників. Нерест плідників, інкубування ікри, відсутність стабільного джерела постачання посадкового матеріалу — ці та інші проблеми, а також актуальність даного напряму, створюють підґрунтя для пошуку підходів до їх вирішення та проведення нових масштабних досліджень. Не можна стверджувати, що даний напрям обділений увагою науковців та не має певних результатів та досягнень, однак їх все ж недостатньо для вирішення проблем штучного відтворення вугра.

Результати. Автори роботи провели огляд та аналіз існуючих в літературі наукових досліджень, присвячених вивченню біології та технології відтворення вугра, та систематизували їх. В результаті вдалося виділити основні досягнення науковців у напрямку технології відтворення вугра та слабкі ланки даного процесу, що є перспективними для подальшого вивчення. Крім того, наведено окремі слабкі ланки, з якими стикаються науковці та проаналізовано доступні методи їх подолання.

Практична значимість. Представлений огляд може бути використаний для стимулювання нових наукових досліджень та технологічних розробок в напрямі індустріального вирощування вугра в Україні та світі, що дозволить зменшити вплив на природні популяції вугра та стабілізувати їхню чисельність в природному середовищі існування. Крім того, автори статті мають намір привернути увагу науковців та виробничників до актуальності вирощування та дослідження вугра.

Ключові слова: європейський вугор, скляний вугор, лептоцефали, міграція, Саргасове море, вирощування, посадковий матеріал.
