Мета. В останні роки у сучасному експериментальному рибництві широкого застосування набуло використання молекулярно–генетичних маркерів. На даний час ця методика представлена диференційованими підходами з індивідуальними механізмами та чітко окресленими можливостями. Численні публікації про молекулярно–генетичні маркери у науковій періодиці здебільшого являють собою суто практичні дані. Таким чином, узагальнення і аналіз існуючої інформації про загальні принципи дії та межі можливостей основних методів з використанням молекулярно–генетичних маркерів є актуальною проблемою. Зокрема, такий опис дозволить більш ефективно планувати експеримент та одержувати бажані результати з підвищеною достовірністю.

Результати. У роботі розглянуто основні типи варіабельних ділянок ДНК, які можуть використовуватися як молекулярно–генетичні маркери при встановленні рівня гібридизації стада, проведенні генетичної інвентаризації популяції та вирішенні інших проблем у сучасному рибництві. Також стаття містить огляд основних сучасних методів, які використовуються для ідентифікації молекулярно–генетичних маркерів.

Наукова новизна. Дана робота є узагальненням сучасних уявлень про механізми експериментальної роботи з молекулярно–генетичними маркерами у рибництві. Інформація представлена у формі послідовного викладення принципів та призначення кожного з методів, а також вагомих досягнень у рибництві при їх застосуванні.

Практична значимість. Представлений огляд класичних та сучасних літературних даних про молекулярно–генетичні маркери може бути використаним при плануванні, модернізації та корекції схем дослідів у сучасному рибництві.

Ключові слова: молекулярно–генетичні маркери, молекулярно–генетичні методи, ПЛР, ДНК, мікросателіти.
